nonfunctional pSC101 origin of replication
BBa_I50040 was designed based on the pSC101 origin of replication with several mutations introduced to eliminate endonuclease recognition sites.
However, testing revealed it to be nonfunctional as a replication origin. BBa_I50042 is functional version of BBa_I50040.
