Due to an error in the 2008 part distribution, many iGEM teams and individuals are having difficulty transforming parts from the DNA spotted onto filter paper. The robot used to mini prep our cultures cannot produce a high enough concentration of DNA to allow for efficient transformations. In order to accommodate everyone's needs we have been sending out bacterial stabs of parts on request. To request a stab of a part please send an email to hq at igem.org with the parts you need and we will promptly send out the materials.
Within the US most parts arrived to the destination the next day. For international shipments times varied by country.
